This was a decent overview of some of the textual changes -- some intentional, some accidental -- in different versions of the New Testament. It was a good, broad explanation of why changes happened (or why they *might* have happened, since we don't know the definite reasons people hundreds of years ago did things), with a few examples; it's not in-depth or extensive by any means, but it gives you ideas of why you can't always trust what you read.

The New Testament contradicts itself left and right. There are a few ways of dealing with this.
One is to try to figure out what Jesus actually said. From the title, it sounds like that is what this book will get at, but it doesn't really. It's more about who's been misquoting the authors of the Gospels, including the authors of the Gospels.
