I know, I know, lately it seems that I've been fixated on dead presidents (and a new book about the assassination of James Garfield has just been published--don't worry, I'm on it) so Sarah Vowell's Assassination Vacation was just the book for me. The best! What a fun read!
I'll admit it, I loves me a breezy, anecdotal history book. And no one does anecdotal history like Sarah Vowell. This book made me want to see Assassins and wander D.C. looking at memorials. Great stuff.

Actually listened to this as an audiobook and thoroughly enjoyed it. Love the connections Ms. Vowell can draw between seemingly distant historical events!
