Judy Heumann has been fighting her entire life to be seen as an individual with civil rights. he had polio when she was a toddler and has mostly gotten around in a wheel chair ever since. When it was time to go to kindergarten, no school would take her. She was a safety hazard.
After she graduated from college, she couldn't get a job because, again, she was a safety hazard.
