Why would millions of people vote for someone who is manifestly incompetent and corrupt? Why is this the kind of candidate we are forced to choose from? It is not an accident. Very powerful, very determined, very patient malefactors of great wealth have been working very hard for decades to create the current situation.

Yes, the book focuses much more on the Koch brothers (and the right) than Soros (and the left), but if you just look at if from a perspective of the influence a few billionaires create, it is terrifying the potential implications it has on the future direction of our country. Highly recommended if you care at all about politics and the origins of some of the more recent political movements.

Audiobook. So sad how much money the Kochs & their network are spending on the elections and how much wonderful good it could do if it were funneled into real education (vs libertarian indoctrination) and Healthcare and all those other ways that society could be improved. Rather than being flushed down a toilet of advertising and buying elections. Argh!
