What Members Thought
This is an interesting pile of factoids from an agnostic's point of view. The author failed though to pull it together into a coherent whole for explaining what's different now. I think he misses the boat by circling around Disneyland and not zeroing in more on the Vietnam War. That was an abrupt breaking point in the American people trusting the government/establishment/media, and for good reality-based reasons that had nothing to do with Hollywood, religion, conspiracy theories or whatever. A lot of interesting points. But becomes highly repetitive, turns into a diatribe at times (especially near the end the writer just seems to come unhinged for about 40 pages), sometimes just seems like he doesn't think adults should have any fun, and ironically doesn't cite anything (other than opinion surveys).
