Gloria Steinem’s first book in more than two decades is classified as a memoir, but I don’t think that’s accurate. Since my memories pretty much parallel Gloria's I did enjoy this book. Modest would not be inappropriate for a woman who has done so much but doesn't seem to recognize her own power. Still it was fascinating to see her when she isn't written up in a newspaper or on TV. She has managed to bring awareness to many things without making herself crazy thinking that she is personally responsible for changing the world.
