Wow! These guys are funny! and some serious flashbacks to boot camp..except the Army is much more slack in this than the Marines, and I did 12 weeks basic..not 8.. but other than that..I am feeling it :)

omg. This is not what I expected at all. I laughed and I cried. I really dont understand why this is considered Erotic because when i think of Erotic i think of randomly bumbing uglies, the love these guys shared for eachother wasnt random at all. I LOVED this book.
The emails made me smile and cry all at the same time. I was slighty confused about the emails because things that were sent directly to one person would be
referenced by another person. did everyone just randomly see all the emails? ...more

Oh yes PLEASE “BE’ my drill sergeant.
My rating is 3.85
A military fiction with a little twist of yaoi. Those of you who know yaoi will get the idea within a second. A subtle gay romance with a little twist of ingenuousness I enjoyed it after reading a plundering book that left me bare with nothing to claw at but my own anxiety. This was fun. Very humorous and very light. Away from the blood, gore and the bitter realities of war and it’s implications, you can enjoy a true juvenile romance in it’s ...more

I tried to like it but it was just all wrong for me. The writing felt awkward and it was a chore to get through. Though, it should be said, that I wouldn't let a difference in preference deter you from a read that seems intriguing.

Truly exceptional. Loved this book. If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that many.
Unlike most m/m novels where the plot revolves around the m/m aspect of the book and is secondary to the sex, this book is thick with a really engrossing plot who's main characters happen to be be m/m.
All the characters were interesting and the sex was very hot. Even tho there wasn't much of it. But again, this was a novel about the characters, not about the sex.

I can't believe myself. I just finished reading 550+ PDF pages in less than fifteen hours. It was like watching a movie. At first, I thought the whole military thing was going to be like watching "Saving Private Ryan" all over again (I dunno why; the movie just popped out) but I was so wrong. It takes a lot of pages to get to the romance between Ryan and Phillip but it's oh so much rewarding since the sexual tension is so thick. I laughed my ass off and cried my eyes out. This was the fifth time reading this (even if GR only shoes two rounds) and it's still as fun as the first time around. :-)
