This book is completely worthy of an exceptional review. It touched me so deeply and poignantly though, that I'm having trouble with getting my feelings on the page. Bear with me. Maybe a reread will help me see more clearly.

EXCEPTIONAL

Probably a 3.5. I did like Gabe and Joey. I liked that as tough as Gabe was, he still had a sensitive side and you could see, through words and actions, the connection that he had with Joey. I did keep thinking about And So Is Love throughout the whole book. I liked that one better than this because I felt more for the characters.

There wasn't a HEA but the ending was fitting for the situation.

I picked this one up cause I needed a pick me up after finishing my last book where too many characters died.

This one started off iffy, but I liked the dynamics and the psychological aspect of living in such a place at that time. I grew to like Gabriel, Joey, the guards, Lonnie, and I was in my happy place for a good portion and then the end fucking happened and I was crying AGAIN.

For someone who never cries with books I ended up crying twice in one day because of them...And I loved them both

There really is no way to describe this book, other than to say it's one of the most emotional stories I've ever read.

I was frightened. I was horrified. I was amused. I was aroused. I was angry. I was hopeful. I was heartbroken.

It's not a happy ending, but it's...it's right. Any other ending would feel forced or false.

I whole-heartedly recommend taking this ride.

4.5, this story will be with me for a while, stars

This story was well written, dirty, sad and most of all beautiful. The connection between the main characters was not unrealistic and felt so tragically real. Their circumstances are horrible, how they meet is horrible and yet they overcome and form a beautiful relationship. I, unlike many other people who reviewed this book, was able to read the CODA directly after I finished the main story since I had an updated version of the ebook. As such I
