I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Amy Stewart is a dab hand at characterization—the dynamics between the characters, particularly the sisters' relationships, were complex allowing just enough subtlety to let the reader work some at getting to know their personalities as well as understanding what made them tick. Well-written, different, providing interesting insights into the time period. I'll definitely read more of this series.

Life in 1914 from the perspective of three strong women facing the challenges that life in that era presented, based on a true story which was interesting and inspiring. Constance Kopp's courage and the glimpses into daily life a hundred years ago were a reminder of how far we have come and how unique she was.
