This was a surprise - I picked it up as a freebie, not expecting much, and found a fun, imaginative and warm story set in a light(ish) superhero world. Patrick is, as "Nettle", a plant-loving and plant-controlling superhero with a deep passion for the environment. Tyrone comes to him as a mentorship assignment - a new-to-superheroing man who has already faced injury, a man with cybernetic limbs, whose outward demeanor is about as unreadable and stoic as they come. This was a cute, ridiculous, throw-away kind of story. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't read it a second time. I can't advocate for reading it but if you are struggling to find that next book and you want something that will take a very short time to read & won't require any investment, this is a good choice. ...more
