I confess, this is not a book I would normally read. Though I read a lot of YA, I usually stick to the science fiction / fantasy part of the spectrum, and I'm not a big fan of romance no matter which age is targeted. But I needed to read a young adult book that focused on romance for a Reading Challenge I am in, and so I reserved this one from my library.

What a cute, wonderful, charming, romantic, highly enjoyable story. And hilarious. Seriously, this book had me laughing out loud constantly.
I LOVE ANNA SO MUCH. I love that she loves movies, is slightly OCD, says “dude” all the time, isn’t very good at foreign languages, and paints mustaches on her face with chocolate. : ) I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a narrator as much as I’ve enjoyed her.
I LOVE ETIENNE SO MUCH. I love how he says ah-na, loves history, and has brown eyes. Anna is so lucky, he i ...more

This was a hilarious, sweet, sad, and romantic book. I loved the witty banter between the two main characters. Of course it helps that he speaks mostly with his English accent and vocabulary, which I love. It made me laugh out loud. The characters frustrated me quite a bit in parts, but it definitely made them human. I would have liked it cleaner as there was quite a bit of language and suggestive content.

It was okay.
I was just pissed at the fact that St. Clair is so stupid and confused. Okay, I get it that he is afraid of change but you just can't let the girl hanging on like the way he did with Anna. It was totally annoying. You just can't leave perplexing clues about liking someone or giving them hint that you like them when you're in a relationship with someone else. It's wrong. It's morally wrong. I know I should be giddy because they actually become a couple after so many dramatic happenin ...more

Oh this book is a hit!! I was looking for a light, fluffy read and that's just what I got. Fluffy in a good way. It was one of the cutest feel-good, chicky lit, YA romances I have ever read.
Anna and St. Clair are very likable protagonists and together their story is full of enjoyable moments.

This is my second time reading this book because I wanted to pick up something cutesy for valentines day. It was exactly what I needed! I felt myself falling in love with each turn of the page. The characters are enjoyable and I felt myself relating to Anna a lot throughout the story. It captures the beauty of traveling and makes me want to go to France even more than I already do. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lovely, fast-paced story that is to die for.
