Quentin is in love/slightly obsessed with his neighbor Margo Roth Spiegelman. They used to play together when they were little and when they were 9 they found a dead body in the park and Margo wasn't as freaked out by it as Q was. That's how you learn Margo is unique. Fast forward to the end of senior year. Margo is knocking on Q's window and telling him to get his keys, he's driving on her revenge-filled night. Good story about a boy with a crush on a girl whom they saw a dead body while playing together when they were young. I enjoyed the development of each character as they grew older and how they were affected inside by such a traumatic event. The girl becomes more mysterious to him and others as she develops her own sense of self. The story becomes a mystery as they approach graduation so I enjoyed Quentin gathering clues with his friends. I felt the emotional pull until the end when Quentin and M ...more

This book was an ... interesting read. I enjoyed the beginning with the revenge night, and I LOVED the road trip, but I did not care for everything in between nor anything after. It had great parts, and then some not stellar parts. I want people to read John Green's awesome work, so this is not the book I will recommend. ...more
