Quentin is in love/slightly obsessed with his neighbor Margo Roth Spiegelman. They used to play together when they were little and when they were 9 they found a dead body in the park and Margo wasn't as freaked out by it as Q was. That's how you learn Margo is unique. Fast forward to the end of senior year. Margo is knocking on Q's window and telling him to get his keys, he's driving on her revenge-filled night. I'm a fan of John Green's writing style, but this wasn't my favorite book of his. I cared more for the secondary characters (Radar, Ben, and Lacey) than I did for either Quentin of Margo. Quentin was a bit of a jerk at times and Margo was your typical Manic Pixie Dream Girl. Still, the book was highly readable, and had some genuinely excited and poignant parts to it. 7/10 would read again. ...more
