I enjoyed this book better than the first. It flowed better and I liked more of the characters. I'm getting annoyed with not being told anything about luce's past. It's book 2 we should be given something more. In this book I just find Daniel as annoying as Luce. The storyline worked for me but I just kept shaking my head at their lame choices. No swearing and pg teen romance. Will continue to the next.

The only complaint I had about the first book (Luce's tendency towards Bella Swann-ness)is almost completely absent from this book. Once again Kate has an excellent cast of supporting characters and Luce really comes into her own as opposed to being just the girl who is in love with the boy.

Like more than the first. This series just might pan out for me. Luce is torn between her soul-mate angel that he's sacrificed heaven for--and she endlessly dies for......and shoreline cali/nephilim Miles. Fun fun! Which team will I support?

Hmmm... well, if you're looking for one of those "ill leave you so I can protect you" kind of relationship books. It's alright, its more faster pace than the first.
