I really liked this. I must have first picked this book us when I was in elementary school or middle school. I remember that my brother had read it and loved it so I tried reading it too and for some reason I never finished it. I lost interest and got distracted. This year I'm trying to buy less books and read more books that I own or friends and family own. So I raided my brothers bookshelf and found this. I'm so glad I picked it up. 3.5 stars for this one. I enjoyed it on and off. I would get into it, and then I'd get a little bored… It was never very consistent for me in terms of interest. My husband absolutely adores this trilogy, but he listened to the audio books and really liked the narrator, plus there were no evident footnotes in the audiobook version. There were many, many footnotes in this book, a practice which continues in the trilogy, and they just didn't do it for me. They threw me out of the story constantly, ...more

Gw suka deh sama gaya cerita sang penulis disini. Gaya humor satir yang dimiliki oleh Bartimeus, jujur saja, malah bikin terpikat. Atau mungkin karna aku yang suka dengan gayanya saja kali ya. :p
Tapi yang terpenting, kalian mesti coba baca buku ini. Ngga akan nyesel deh, dan cobalah beli booksetnya waktu lagi diskon. :p :p Karna itulah yang aku lakukan. =))
