I'm not going to say this book was awful because it wasn't awful. It was easy to read and I didn't mind most of the characters. The story was kind of predictable and I'd guessed the bad guy right away. The book is YA but I think it's for a younger YA reader. The one thing I didn't like was that I had no idea what type of supernatural this book was about. I don't ever read a synopsis because I hate that many give spoilers. Curiouser even more so since Crescendo also came my way for a review. Since I didn't have the book, off to the library I went. Didn't mind. I do have cover love for the book.

One of my favorite parts from the book:

"His black eyes sliced into me, and the corners of his mouth tilted up. My heart fumbled a beat and in that pause, a feeling of gloomy darkness seemed to slide like a shadow over me. It vanished in an instant, but I was still staring at him. His smile wasn't friendly. It was a smile that spelled trouble. With a promise."

I did REALLY like this book, I basically finished it in a day. I loved Patch and I didn't find Nora to be annoying constantly throughout the book. I loved the little twists and turns the book took and how it had you excited as to what would happened next.
