Love this series with the strength of a thousand angry Zuzanas.
So, I didn't love this book when I started it, and I knew I wouldn't because I knew there was going to have to be some major conflict between the two main characters that was going to take them apart. And like most second books, there were parts I was frustrated with, but I knew it would get better and that everything I was reading was going to make the third book epic (keep my fingers crossed). This series has such great characters. I love Akiva. He was great in this book. I loved how he started to connect to his mother's genes and tap into that magic. I'm very curious to see where that will take him in the future. Karou was lots of fun in this book too. I loved that Zuzanna found a way to be with her again. Of course she barely batted an eye at all the monsters surrounding her friend, or the resurrection work she helped Karou with. She provides a bit of a comic relief with her feistin

Much better than the first, although like the first, there were some parts that slightly irked. Of course, amazing and breathtaking all the same.
