Well, I'm crying in the bathroom at 11:30 at night. This one is like a punch in the gut; it knocks the wind out of you. Well done, Gayle Forman, for creating a book that wrenches every last drop of emotion out of the reader. After I'm done with Where She Went, I will have to read something much more upbeat, or else I may end up laying in traffic without the will to live. ...more

I loved this book. It is young, beautiful, and heart-wrenching. Are people in comas able to hear those around them? Forman answers that question with her young adult novel. It is way better than "Lovely Bones" or any other book along those lines. I hope I'm the type of parent like Mia's. :) ...more
