I've heard about this book through book blogs and book tubers for awhile now and how much they enjoyed and definitely recommended it for anyone who enjoyed YA reads plus the premise really intrigued me with a devil and an angel falling in love and thought it would be right up my alley. I'm not sure about this one. I'm torn - the first half of the novel was pretty great. It had a bumpy start, because at first I didn't like the main character at all. I thought the author was trying just a liiittle bit too hard to make her out to be this special snowflake....and her and her best friends interactions were just too BORING. abandoned for now. I am not in the mood for supernatural/paranormal stuff at the moment. I have too many books on my bedside table that are calling me and I just cant get into it. I am struggling with the audiobook. I like her voices but she's just mispronouncing so many words that its throwing me off. I will just have to read it in the future/ ...more

4 Stars for Daughter of Smoke & Bone.

I like the way the story flowed. Things weren't made obvious and it kept me reading to see what would happen next. We got little peeks at what was to come without everything being revealed too early.
