I thoroughly enjoyed this! I am a bit mad at myself for having this series for YEARS and almost every book in the series yet never actually picking to up to read. It's completely action-packed from the beginning. There's romance without it being annoying and insta-love. I enjoyed all the fantasy elements here as well. I'm at a loss as to why this book has such high ratings. The vampire side was pretty interesting concept. I liked the whole different types of vampires idea. I couldn't stand the characters. My main issue was with the heroine. Does she have any redeeming qualities? Ok, so she wasn't like a lot of ya heroines who just fall and cry and expect handsome boy 1 or 2 to come rescue her. It's an easy read. Bit more for younger audience but I liked the characters and will continue to read this popular series.
