I went into this book with low expectations. I'm not sure why other than the fact in the 5 or 6 years I've been watching Booktubers no one really talked much about this book or series. I know someone mentioned it for it to be on my radar and my "want to read" list but I never got to excited because no one else was excited either.

Honestly, it took me a long time to get into this book. I didn't feel the excitement that I usually feel with a book like this. I chose to read it in the first place because it is a YARP (South Dakota Middle School Student Choice Award) nominee this year. I kept thinking that if I was having a hard time getting into it, then my student definetly would.
