An interesting book. I am looking forward to book 2 & 3
This book is a mess. It’s like she thought of every plot she could think of and instead of picking one - decided to go with them all. This book is convoluted and tries to do too much while falling short in everything. 🤦🏻♀️ I sincerely think this is one of the worst books I have read.
I absolutely loved this book and discovering that it was a series was just the icing on the cake. Deborah Harkness is a professor of history, which helps her to seamlessly intertwine fact and fiction. The writing is so enchanting and believable that 579 pages seemed so very short.
