In light of the abusive/racist/disrespectful behaviours by (well-known) authors that have been made known, and are discussed in detail in Twitter, I am determined to not monetarily support all individuals who have exhibited said attitudes, and this book is written by one of them.

However, this came through a book box subscription and (for) now I own the hardcover. So, I will probably read it.

Honestly? This book was brilliant and hit all the notes, the good ones and OH how I care about these characters now. But somehow I feel a little letdown by the closing chapters? Maybe because I guessed the big twist before it happened? Maybe I read it too fast? Either way I need Dev1at3 now. Like right now.

I hate Jay Kristoff in the best way possible. His books give me book hangovers. They make me scream. They make me want to throw the book to the other side of the room in frustration. They are amazing.
Lifelike was no different.
In this sci-fi post apocalyptic world we follow Eve as she tries to rescue her grandfather and escape the people killing her. She is also trying to work out suppressed memories from her past.
