This book is disturbingly awesome! It focuses on both natural catastrophic events and human nature. As I was reading the novel I would think about what humans would actually do to survive and keep their families alive. I feel this book is spot on! I would recommend the novel for grades seventh and up.
I love how the book is constantly switching perspectives with not only the main characters, but a bunch of side ones as well. :)
