4 Stars, 4.5, 5, 4.5, 4, I'm not sure how I feel about this book, and that's either a really good thing or a really bad thing. I was conflicted from the beginning because Darrow's sections were so uncertain and depressing. But I felt hope again during the Lyria and Lysander parts. Ephraim was confusing as well, but I held out hope that he would be good at heart. 10 years later and still no peace. Iron Gold picks up with the Reaper and Mustang older but still battling to do the right thing for all in sacrifice of their families. Slow start with the introduction of new characters, Ephraim and Lyria, and how their stories tie in. But once the connection is made the story flows much faster. We also get to hear from Lysander who has been in exile with Cassius.
