This was such a fun book to read. We follow Nova who lives in a city full of people with superpowers, ruled by a super hero organization. Nova is part of a gang who opposes the rulers, who came into power about a decade before the story takes place. The first few chapters of this are a little confusing because there are A LOT of names, especially with everyone having alterego- super names along with their regular one, plus names of gangs. But once you hit around chapter 5 or 6 things start to ma This was such a fun book to read. We follow Nova who lives in a city full of people with superpowers, ruled by a super hero organization. But once you hit around chapter 5 or 6 things start to make a lot more sense and I was sucked into the story. This is full of action, super abilities, organizations, villains, heroes, everything. There's an over arching discussion of what it means to be a hero or a villain and who is truly good and bad. Some of this definitely felt a little messy and all over the place, and the book had an altogether chaotic feel. But it actually worked pretty well for the kinda chaotic city this is taking place in, and all the twists and turns of the story. (view spoiler) All in all, I really enjoyed this and just had a lot of fun reading. It was so high energy and chaotic and came after I read three pretty serious and straight forward books, so it was a nice change of pace.
