I liked this book enough to want to read the next. I enjoyed most of the characters... I had a problem with the main character and her motivation.

I understand the issue she sees with the Renegades when it comes to making everyday normal people dependent on them, and how people get lazy when they think there are super heroes to clean up after them so in turn humanity is growing weaker. Update: As of 5/1/22, I haven’t been able to get into the 2nd book in the trilogy. Wish it had been a standalone. As much as I loved book 1, I won’t be continuing the trilogy.

Renegades has no holes that I could find, it has amazing, complicated characters, and the world building is fantastic. I enjoyed this book but it didn’t WOW me. It was good but not the best book I’ve ever read. I liked the characters and the plot. But nothing really caught me off guard or blind sighted me or made me laugh or cry. Overall it was a fun time. Not a 5 star book for me though
