I just finished my reread of Warcross and I'm still giving it 5 stars. I still loved everything about it. I think I loved the twist more this time then the 1st time I read it. I can't wait to pick up book 2 Wildcard

Wow, wow, this book was everything I wanted in a YA sci-fi book. Words can't fully describe how exciting and fun it was to read, and how likeable the characters actually are (a rarity for me in YA novels). This book reminds me of some of my favorites from being a teenager, and the nostalgia factor only adds to my enjoyment of the book.

3.5 stars. Started out promising, but I felt like the characters and their relationships could’ve been more fleshed out. Saw the big reveal coming from a mile away.

This was such an incredible read. I thoroughly enjoyed the well-paced plot, its twists, and Lu's fluid writing style; she does world-building well and the book was very easy to read. I liked the relationship between Emika and Hideo a lot. More so, I appreciated the diversity of characters in this book.
