Mary E. Pearson has me all in my feelings right now. What an amazing, roller coaster ride of an ending. It's so sad leaving these characters behind. This trilogy is amazing, definitely one for the hardback collection.

So after reading Dance of Thieves by this author that takes places in this same world I decided to read this series. It's just okay series. I like Dance of Thieves book better and can't wait to read more in that series.
This last book was ridiculously too long. The good good parts took place like the last 50 pages of the book. Lots of unnecessary things happened in this I love you love story that was just ugh too much to keep from rolling my eyes.

I loved all three books that were in this trilogy. They each had something to offer and the more I got to know Lia the more I liked her character. I think she grew and matured with each book and I loved to see it. I also loved Rafe and Kaden equally but Kaden's character took a while for me to like him.
In this book we got to see Lia become the strong leading woman we knew she could be. She led her kingdom while her father was ill. She got rid of the traitors that had done so much damage to her k ...more

Let me count the ways I love this series... the world, the characters, the romance, the female badassery, and the fantastic, thrilling, romantic, effing amazing conclusion Mary E. Pearson has written for THE BEAUTY OF DARKNESS, the final book in the Remnant Chronicles. This was a perfect ending to one of my favorite trilogies and I can't wait to dive in and reread all three books again before August 2.
I love this book so much that I wrote Mary a thank you email after reading it.

This was a good ending to the trilogy. I'm glad it wasn't split into 2 books. It easily could have been. Instead it wraps everything up quite nicely in one long book. The fate of multiple characters was left in the balance at the end of book two. This one started out right where that one left off. Spoiler, but not: All the main players survived to fight another day. In this book we continue to follow Lia as she and Rafe flee Venda. Their romance has its ups and downs in this book. I liked how th
