so this is my first Victoria Schwab book ever. I've definitely been meaning to read this author for quite some time so with all the good reviews I picked up this book and will likely also read the second book in this duology.

I gave this book 4 stars because the first 40% was decently slow. After that the pace picked up tremendously and I flew through the last 60% in just a few hours. I enjoyed the book but it was a little on the dark side for my taste. I might have even had a dream about monster
