Having really enjoyed Anna Dressed in Blood I couldn't wait to get to this book. It did hold some of the darkness that I enjoyed in Anna, but I'm afraid it didn't hold my attention in the same manner. I think it had to do with the worldbuilding in this book. While the world builds slowly we are sort of thrown into the world without footing. We don't quite know what is going on and it was disconcerting and I needed more. I'm so conflicted with this one. There are a bunch of stuff that I really liked. The premise and the potential and some of the twists. But there are also a ton a things that I didn't like at all. I found it pointlessly confusing. There were too many characters and I didn't really care about most of them. I feel like all of the romance was terrible and pointless.
