This book gives the reader insight into the mind of an autistic boy- Christopher. The author described ongoing interactions and reactions of others (that didn’t know Christopher’s diagnosis). These ranged from rudeness , laughing/making fun, and anger at the protagonist’s seemingly different behavior. It was a great way to build the reader’s empathy while also providing some context of the “why” behind Chris’s actions.I also appreciated how the author explored how Chris’s autism gave him remarka ...more
