This is the second time I have read this book. It's the first time I've read this edition. I loved it!!! Maybe more the second time around more so then the 1st time. Also it could be that I'm reading them back to back so the characters are staying fresh in my mind more. I'm in a buddy read with someone on Discord and I'm having the best time reading it with them. It was long overdue and if I was in a buddy read I may never have reread this series.

Expands on the previous two books but also stays a little too close in tone and direction. Honestly, all three of these first books could be thrown into a single volume and I'd have no idea about them being three individual titles. The characters age three years across the three books but their maturation is not noticeable. I absolutely love The Prisoner of Azkaban. Rowling did a wonderful job and introduced lasting characters, characters people will always remember.

I've always enjoyed this book. It has a wonderful story and intriduces some of my favorite characters, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. Lupin was instantly likeable where as Black took some time to warm up to, of course this is understandable since he was supposed to be the bad guy and was acting a little crazy when we first came face to face with him.
