I have waited a while to read this book... mainly because I was always in love with the cover. The dress is just gorgeous.
I wasn't expecting it to be a 1900s drama about socialites. Somehow I was expecting there to be some kind of horror/mystery theme to this story. It isn't a bad read, but I don't know if I would go out of my way to read the series. It is a great teenage drama book and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of that theme.

I started this series after it was recommended, but it's not really my type of series. There's lots of innuendo and selfish characters that I really don't like. Everyone makes unintelligent choices and most of them have weak dispositions - as in they aren't strong enough to stick to what they should do and are too engrossed in what society thinks of them or what they want.
