Oh my goodness. The first two books I enjoyed but I wasn't blown away by them. And then this one comes along and I'm just floored. SJM's writing and pacing has improved so much from the first book. Characters like Dorian have developed so nicely. I adore the new characters of Aedion and Rowan. Manon's storyline was particularly fascinating to me as well. Wow this book was great--still kinda just reeling from that powerful ending. Overall, Heir of Fire does propel the story forward from where it left off--though the beginning felt a bit slow. It took me a couple of reads to really get into it. I was about 100 pages in when I could feel myself getting lost in the story. I think Celaena really grew a lot as a character in this book, and she changed into a much strong one in my opinion. It was a little annoying to have her wallowing in her self-pity

...I have no complaints, for once in a book I have no complaints about the plot, the characters, the romance...nothing.
