Wow! Just wow! And I thought after reading the "Wicked Gentleman," Ginn Hale will have a hard time surpassing the greatness within the confines of Hells Below and beyond. Boy. Was. I. Wrong.
Lord Of The White Hell is a totally different universe of its own. It has magic, royalties, witchcraft, tribes, gods and so on and so on. Just imagine the vibe of Captive Prince [S U Pacat], the magical appeal of Hogwarts, put a pinch of Hugo and mix it with a tiny bit of the Hunger Games and you'd get the st ...more

Everytime I read one of her books, I really wish Ginn Hale was one of my closest friend ♥
*Overwhelming feelings*
BTW, Javier is one of the best characters ever. Ginn Hale, my Goddess, has never failed so far! Go for it, Ginn!

This book has it all: magic, sword fights, mechanical cures, and curses. And also pies.
What I love about this novel is not only does it give us likeable characters and good homosexual relationships, it gives us different views on that homosexual relationships based on culture. We have Kiram Kir Zaki; Haldiim, dark skinned, not terribly religious, coming from a society where women inherit and no one bats an eye at same-sex relationships. Genius at maths and mechanisms. Love the world building!
Just for that this book is an excellent read for fantasy fans. The world building is amazing, you're looking deep into Cadeleonian society and its traditions without even noticing it. I also like a lot the main characters, both of them have unique voices and they're charming in their own ways.
I've enjoyed the book a lot till the last part, when the tournament is taking place. It became a bit of a drama for me, but despite that, the book is really good. I've started the ...more

Every book that I have read by Ginn Hale so far have been fantastic. This book is no exception. What I really like is her world building. In the book we are introduced to a world with its own religious system, its own political and social rules and everything feels fresh and new. The characters are also very interesting and I can't wait to read the second book in the series.

I finished this book a while back, but it has taken me this long to feel confident to write a review. There are few creative works in my life that can move me, either way! This book moved me in such an astounding way, I was at a loss for words! The love story, though the most profound support of this book, is secondary to the world it opens up and its complete fantasy wrapped in the underlying themes most homosexuals go experience. Both of our communities possible life roads upon realizing and a

Since this book is no stand-alone and needs to be read with the second part Lord of the White Hell, you'll find my review there.
But let me just say that Ginn Hale is one hell of a fantasy author and she's proven this again in these books. I've started these yesterday and I basically couldn't stop reading until I was done. Awesome! ...more
