A very good book!
I really liked the world that Ginn Hale has created. The characters in this book inhabit a world and society founded on religion. The tension between the police force, or rather the inquisition, and the society's second-class citizens, the descendants of devils, are an important part of the story and the world.
The meeting between a captain from the inquisition and one of the descendants are perhaps a bit of a Romeo and Juliet take on things but the story doesn't feel old. It fe ...more
