I have always heard of Patricia Cornwell but I was never compelled to try one of her books until now.
Postmortem is the first book in her long and famous Kay Scarpetta series. It was just all right for me. I enjoyed it overall, but I found it a little slow paced for my liking. Leggere la Patricia Cornwell degli albori è ormai quasi leggere un romanzo storico.
Computer e tecnologia sono pressoché irriconoscibili, tanto che le spiegazioni sul funzionamento non mi sono parse superflue, ma mi hanno genuinamente interessato. Senza contare che, nonostante l'autrice sia conosciuta un po' come una che scrive 'spiegoni', in questo volume ho trovato molto equilibrata la loro proporzione con la trama in sé.

è il suo primo libro che leggo...mi piace come scrive, come introduce i personaggi...ma questa story-line in particolare non mi ha molto soddisfatto, rispetto ad altri autori quali la George e la Christie. Ne leggerò sicuramente un altro per vedere se è una eccezione....
