Shelves: gutting-feeling, favorites, made-me-cry-for-hours

It took me a long while to pick this book up and read it,

It was a slow read but so worth it, it allowed the story to grow on me, to get inside me and take roots,
to finally rip me open and make me cry my heart out once the story was done

I'm writing this while I'm still in tears, this beauty of these words is unmatchable and haunting
The characters made me smile, laugh and also cry, you can't think of them as anything less than real

Se non avessi visto l'anno scorso il film, avrei sicuramente dato quattro stelle.
La storia è molto bella e la scelta del narratore è fantastica.
Peccato però per il film (che personalmente ho amato alla follia): tornassi indietro aspetterei di aver letto il libro per vederlo. ...more

Una delle poche che ha dato solo due stelle. Ho il cuore diviso a metà, se da una parte il libro mi è piaciuto, dall’altra non posso non dire che in certi punti, mi abbia totalmente annoiata. Non è stato il tipico romanzo per cui avrei voluto andare a casa solo per leggerlo,ecco. Se da un lato, ho apprezzato i personaggi, dall’altro sono rimasta delusa dalla storia. Mi aspettavo di più. Ad essere sincera non ho ancora capito quanto mi sia piaciuto questo libro.
La storia ha un suo fascino e l'ultima parte fa sicuramente piangere.
Peccato che in realtà sia già stato spoilerato tutto sin dall'inizio.
Almeno un centinaio di volte.
Il fatto che ci fossero continue anticipazioni su quello che sarebbe successo mi ha dato proprio fastidio.
Però io il libro non l'avrei abbandonato, per nessun motivo.
