Che sia uno di quei romanzi da successo planetario non mi stupisce, perché fondamentalmente è stato scritto per vendere: stilisticamente di qualità mediocre, sfondo contemporaneo, storia che fa leva sulla pietà del lettore medio (poco importa che a un certo punto diventi improbabile), per non parlare del momento della pubblicazione, che più azzeccato di così non si può. Perché parlare della cattiveria dei talebani dopo l'11 settembre, ammettiamolo, è un po' "ti-piace-vincere-facile".
