The first time I read it, I rated The Hunger Games 4 stars. On a re-read, I can't help but wonder at it. Maybe it's because I know the story so well by now, and because both the books and movies were overall fantastic; but it's without a doubt a 5 star read.

La storia tratta temi forti, come la libertà e la ribellione contro l’oppressione, attraverso gli occhi di Katniss, che sembra quasi inconsapevole del fragore che causano i suoi gesti. La protagonista, infatti, agisce d’istinto, senza riflettere sulle sue azioni, avendo come unico pensiero il dover sopravvivere ai Giochi per tornare dalla sua famiglia.
