Finalmente l'ho finito, non mi ha entusiasmato più di tanto non perché abbia qualche difetto in particolare semplicemente mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. L'angoscia c'è, e anche gli spunti di riflessione non mancano. Un finale che lascia l'amaro in bocca e il sospetto che se sull'isola ci fosse finita anche qualche ragazza forse le cose sarebbero andate diversamente.

Penso che avrei dovuto leggere (e consigliare) questo romanzo prima, molto prima. L’ho affrontato come un’opera anche per ragazzi, perché così è indicato e perché come tale figura in vari elenchi, concorsi, pubblicazioni di associazioni che promuovono la lettura fra gli adolescenti. I am conflicted about this book. It is certainly a very impressive story and some parts were fantastically creepy, first of all the dialogue between Simon and "the Lord of the Flies". However, I was expecting more: the change in the young characters seemed a little rushed to me, not enough developed.
