Cliche and trope riddled, predictable, bordering on gun porn, somewhat repetitive at times, and borrowing from a whole boatload of existing material, Monster Hunter International still managed to be a fun ride through action adventure with perhaps more of a fantasy feel than anything horror. Shelves: action, horror

Probably a 3.5 star book. I really enjoyed the first three quarters of the book but instead of picking up speed toward the end of the book I found myself sort of slogging through to the end.
