Anytime a story is about child abuse, I'm in a dilemma about reading on, but in Scars I was compelled to find out how Kendra dealt with the dawning horror of remembering her attacker and molester. The story is fast-paced, yet careful to develop the characters and their relationships. Nothing is simple, but everything is satisfactory. Kendra is set on her own road to healing, Meghan has a chance at living free from her abusive mother, and even Kendra's mother has an opportunity to be a better Mom

Wow! I am stunned at how amazing this book is. It actually took me a while to read, not because it was boring or horrible, but because how great and heavy it was.
Scars opens up new emotional levels you did not know you had!
