What Members Thought
Laurie Halse Anderson is THE master for Young Adult contemporary fiction. There is nobody who does it better. I think this is one of her first books - over 10 years old, and it is still compelling and realistic today. I've never read a book where a teenage boy protagonist written by a grown woman sounds so real. Though this one isn't my favorite of hers, I still will continue to read all that she writes.
