For me, Truth is hard to review, mainly because I liked the general plot, although the writing style didn’t exactly suit me. Instead of a 16 year old, Nina sounded more like 13 year old to me. My Thoughts: Nina has so much more to deal with in Truth than XVI! Her grandfather has committed a crime (is it really), her grandma is in the hospital, Dee is almost a teenager, her boyfriend Sal is never around, she might have feelings for another guy, and on top of that she still has to deal with the FELS and the never ending problems there.
Nina has quite the hectic life going on. She finally has her tattoo and boys think she is now available and can be taken to their liking.

I had read Julia Karr's XVI a while ago ecstatic that there was a sequel. I was dying to know what sold happen to Nina now that she got her tattoo and knew the truth. I was really looking forward to seeing her relationship with Sal grow and her connection to the Jenkins' further. Sadly I was disappointed with Truth. Now don't get me wrong, it was a pretty good story, but it just didn't live up to my expectations.
