Shelves: mystery, gone

This was the first Eve Dallas mystery I have read by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts). The series is set in the future, although it is not that obvious, other than some advanced technology and references to off-world, so it doesn't seem like an alien culture. Eve Dallas is hardworking Homicide cop, prone to getting so caught up in her cases that she neglects things like eating and sleeping, but her handsome, very rich husband Roarke is there to bring her back to earth when necessary. Even without the friend in the story existing, for some reason, I just felt that I kind of had the story figured out. I did enjoy this for more of the Mavis pregnancy story line.

I love Mavis and Leonardo and I love the panic that sets in with both Roarke and Eve when they attempt to be Mavis’s birthing team. Overall another great book in a great series.
