Hard to be a reader and not to be fascinated by one of the greatest American Writers of all time Ernest Hemingway. This historical fiction novel takes the reader on a love ride to Paris for Ernest and his first wife Hadley. McLain has a way of making you slow down and sink into the writing and story. She makes Ernest Hemingway come to life and I will definitely be reading The Sun Also Rises which plays a significant part of this book.
