What Members Thought
With the first book getting all the storylines and characters off the ground I found this second book a much more enjoyable read. It seems like things didn't really start to happen until nearer the end of the first and having 3/4s of a book dedicated to plot beginnings could drag on. This book thrusts you right beck into the action without so much as a 'by your leave'. It even adds a few extra characters because surely you were growing tired with just the other ones for company? ;)

If you are looking for a quick read, this is not the series for you. Otherwise this was a great book, I enjoyed it more than the first, the characters are people you really feel for, especially when they die. Don't get too attached to anyone George R. R. Martin is not afraid to put anyone to the sword!
