I had cried a lot when I read- "A fault in our stars", death and a love story when combined together brings out a suffering of its kind which one cannot escape from. So, I started "Looking for Alaska" with the some great expectations. Although the book was well-written, it could never match up my expectations. It ruined all the great expectations I had cause basically i didn't expect it to be that ridiculous!
imagine 220 pages filled with sex, booze, irresponsible characters and etc.
I didn't like Alaska yet I pitied her, she was a child when her mother died and she just can't get over her feelings of guilt for not saving her so she takes this as an excuse for her mindless and irresponsible behaviors. how pathetic! right? like come on she was just a child!
I just didn't like it.
